Wedding planning checklist is an important tool for any bride commencing her wedding planning. It provides a time ordered list of tasks which need to be completed for a successful wedding day. Typically they will follow a generic template covering an 18 month time frame and a traditional style wedding.

Because this generic template will not suit every wedding, designing your own checklist can be a better way of getting a checklist which meets all your needs and covers your wedding planning time frame. Designing your own is not difficult and all you will need is a generic checklist to help you build the basic framework.

Try to compare several checklists to find one which closely matches your wedding plans as some will be more comprehensive than others. Also look for those which come with added extras such as wedding budget planner and a guide to planning which will also be useful to you.

Begin by setting up your checklist on your computer. You will need a calendar handy too, particularly if you have already booked some of the key elements of your day. You can use a word processing program or a spreadsheet program so choose one which you will feel comfortable with. Start at the present day and work forwards following the framework in your free checklist. You may not have 18 months in which to plan your wedding, so adjust the time frame to fit with the time you do have.

While all the preparations for your wedding are taking place, you normally get lost in the menus, caterers, venue, guest list, cards, invitations selection of the brides maid, their dresses, the ultimate wedding dress for you etc and the list is never ending. We usually take it for granted that the photographer can be booked right in the end and it will be no problem at all, since there are plenty to choose from and their job is just to take pictures. This is the worst you can do to your big day, as over the years all that is left of your wedding is the pictures, which provides you with your greatest memories of all times.

The choice of the wedding photographer is the toughest job, and as tough as perhaps choosing the wedding dress or the caterer for the wedding. You have to be very careful and need to do a lot of research while making your final decision and here is how you should go about it.

The photographer should be very experienced and should have learned from a recognized place. A good degree and an experienced background would tell you a lot about his fame.

Look at the past work he has done, his albums, online pictures available, his website and galleries available. Try not to base your judgment on just the online pictures, go and meet him in person and see his pictures on print. Sometimes pictures on the computer and on print are quite different.

Try to find one through someone personal experience, go through a friend, relative, neighbor, colleague etc so that you know what the person looks like in real life and then compare it to their pictures. Plus personal experience tells you a lot about the photographer's nature beforehand, his flexibility to adjust to changes, his nature to understand the needs of his clients.

Asking a lot of questions will help you to get an insight of what kind of a person he is and whether his way of working will be suitable to you or not. In order to do that you will have to take into consideration some of the following factors:You will have to know what category of body shape you belong to. By that I mean you need to know if you are either -

Slender - which means that you are small in width as compared with your length and/or height, or in other words long and thin and having a slim, trim figure.

Hour glass - which means that your bust and hips are nearly the same size and your waist is 9 inches or more smaller than your bust. This means that your vital stats would read 36/24/36 for example. Your bust and hips may be smaller or larger than the 36 inches, but the main factor to note is that your waist is usually 9 inches or more smaller than your bust, which will give you a curvaceous figure!

Pear shaped - meaning you have wider hips, thighs and bottom with narrower shoulders and smaller bust. People usually think that Pear Shaped women are overweight, this is not so because you may be slim and pear shaped.

Well Endowed - simply put, this is when you have large breasts, or you may be.

Petite - being that you are short and have a small, trim figure.

So whatever your body shape you will have a dress to fit you "perfectly".
